How to Use AI to Work Smarter, Not Harder
AI can help you validate your strategy and improve your writing
If you’re new to The Society of Extraordinary Strategists, you may not be familiar with this quote from Tom Schwab:
“What is ordinary to you is amazing to others.”
It’s simple. It’s profound. It calls us to think about everything through somebody else’s eyes. (It’s from Unleash the Extraordinary to Create Followers, Not Brands).
I use AI in multiple ways: as a co-creator, a coach, and to critique my work.
Here are a few ways to work smarter, not harder, and have an AI model do some heavy lifting for you. Just don’t let it think for you.
Use Grok’s Modes in the Same Chat
A client didn’t realize you can switch between modes in X’s Grok while you work. Working this way seemed ordinary to me; it was extraordinary to him!
You can ask it anything, then switch between DeepSearch, DeeperSearch (brand new), and Think modes to get different perspectives on your topic or research.
I recently used Grok’s DeepSearch mode to compile a list of the top 100 best-selling business book titles. I then switched to Think mode to analyze the structure of each Title: Subtitle and apply its analysis to a list of book subtitle themes. This process helped me come up with a killer subtitle.

Access Multiple AI Models and Personas in Magai
Until Magai came along, I was paying for ChatGPT and Claude subscriptions. Now, I pay less for a five-user Magai account with access to 30+ AI models than for two subscriptions.
Magai is constantly updating its selection of AI text and image models. I’ve trained a persona on my writing style and brand alignment content.
I’ve created workspaces with instructions and brand-aligned content for our clients.
The prompt library helps us save and reuse our most powerful prompts.
With over 20 pre-trained personas, we can develop relevant content with less effort. Our last step is to review and refine it manually.
You can switch between AI models and personas in one chat. That alone makes it worth the low subscription price.
Edit Faster With Grammarly
I’ve been using Grammarly to check my writing since 2017. I love these monthly emails that tell me how I’m doing. Looks like I need to work on my inspirational tone of voice.
Grammarly improves my books and articles, although sometimes it can get a little overbearing in its AI-enhanced quest for grammatical perfection.
Why choose one AI tool when you can have them all?

Have you noticed that most AI models encourage you at the end of chats? (If you’re having a rough day, ask Grok to “Tell me something positive.”)
